His figure looms large over the brewery and his essence is encapsulated in this very special brew. Arguably our best yet, the 2022 version of the Lark Barrel Aged Imperial Johnny Smoke Porter (JSP) V is finally here!
More smooth and sophisticated than it's peers, bold but well rounded whisky soaked oak barrel notes merge seamlessly with a complex array of dark malts. Hints of liquorice, dark chocolate, molasses and espresso, with a touch of smoke creeping in on the finish. Balanced expertly by that trademark Lark Distillery fruity whisky character.
A big thanks to our friends at Lark Distillery for their ongoing contribution to the Barrel Exchange Project, which with this release, brings us to a five year collaboration. The essence of this collaboration is the use and re-use of barrels. Originally from Lark to Wolf to house our Imperial JSP, we then return the beer soaked barrels to Lark for them to age their Wolf Release single malt whisky.
